Mission 
The mission of AFJROTC is to develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and their community.

History
The D2 AFJROTC Unit was established in 1996 and designated CO-961. CO-961 is one of five AFJROTC programs in Colorado Springs and one of nine in the state of Colorado. There are more than 850 AFJROTC Units across the nation and at the Department of Defense schools overseas.
